People of almost all professions – railway men, paratroopers, foresters, police officers – have their holidays to say nothing of Saint Valentine's Day. Only bosses though they do not constitute a great part of humanity did not have their own day for a long time. However, by now the whole world has been celebrating International Boss’s Day for several decades, and Russia has been doing this over the last few years.

As far back as last year, the Mining University decided to hold an annual reception for the heads of the educational system to celebrate Boss’s Day. Above all these people are bosses, without whom the country's educational system cannot exist. Being a boss means work without rest, responsibility, control, creativity, daily stress, and, of course, joy of hard-won victories.

This holiday has been actively celebrated throughout the world over the past 60 years, but in Russia it has just begun to take root. The Mining University holds true to its tradition to introduce something new, and on this day the miners gave their care, smiles, and good humor to the best bosses of the educational process of the Sverdlovsk region. And it was a brilliant success! The evening spent in a warm, friendly atmosphere will be remembered for a long time and promote friendship of our university with secondary schools, gymnasia, and education authorities.

This year the men of the Ural State Mining University distinguished themselves by originality having awarded the prize "Super Boss of Educational System of the Sverdlovsk Region" nominated for "Boss-Politician", "Boss-Legend", "Boss- Gold fund", "Boss-Innovation", and "Boss-Leader". Male managerial staff of the Mining University are true gentlemen ready to throw themselves at women’s feet while the guests, heads and experts of education departments, are mainly delicate women deserving respect, admiration and gratitude for their hard work. Fiery and festive atmosphere was created by wonderful artists: the orchestra of the Mining University conducted by a famous Colonel Alexandr Pavlov, the jazz combo "Calendar", the folk dance ensemble "Chameleon" and the golden voice of the Mining University Nikolai Timakov

It should be remembered that one of the most important qualities of a modern leader is creativity. Therefore a favorite phrase of our Rector Nikolai Kosarev: "At the Mining University each person must be a creator!" found its confirmation. The guests showed their talents during congratulations and contests, impressing each other and the men of the university by their resourcefulness and exclusivity.

Nevertheless it does not matter if the boss is a man or a woman. It is much more important for a boss to be young in spirit at any age, to remain optimistic, to believe in success and his business, and to love life!
