This year from the early May to September 1 the site of our university www.1vuz.ru in collaboration with Sverdlovsk Regional Public Fund for the Support of the All-Russian political party "United Russia" and the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of Sverdlovsk Regional Legislative Assembly Alexandr Serebrennikov conducted an intellectual game for the applicants "The Path to Success". Any school leaver who wanted to enter the Ural State Mining University had the opportunity to answer 140 tricky and interesting questions and win a special prize: Golden, Silver, or Bronze scholarship amounting to 5500 roubles a month.

The whole summer through, applicants (and now already students) of the Mining University fought with the Mistress of the Copper Mountain and worked out her difficult puzzles. On Friday, September 9, the most persevering young people took part in the final stage of the online competition. Nine most quick-witted, intelligent, and resourceful participants passed the final test, answered ten most difficult questions, and found out which of them deserved the highest award.

Today, finally, the names of the lucky ones who received monetary rewards have become known. According to the results of the online competition "The Path to Success" the Silver Scholarship (amounting to 5500 roubles per month for two years) was given to Andrei Belousov, a student of the group GD 11* at the Faculty of Mining Mechanics, and the Bronze Scholarship (amounting to 5500 roubles per month for one year) was awarded to Alexandr Bachurin a student of the group K 5* at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education. We congratulate the winners and wish them good luck in all their efforts! Their path to success at the Mining University started with victory!
