Second-year students were told about Corporate Social Network of the University and about love to God

    Yesterday, on the 3-rd of March, in the University Assembly Hall there was a meeting of second-year students with the Rector Nikolay Kosarev.

    The agenda included registration procedure in the University Corporate Social Network vgornom.com. The students were given instructions about personal profiles and about joining a student group. The chief editor and moderator of the social network were introduced to the students. This can help them to get rid of impersonal resume at the university site in “Student Fair” and express their personality. Now they are personally responsible for their self-presentation  to prospective employers.

    The Rector then asked a question: «What is love?».  It was a difficult question to answer. Nikolay Petrovich continued: «If you lost your fortune, you lost nothing. If you lost your good health, you lost a half. And if you lost your faith, you lost everything». The Rector and Fathers Igor and Vladimir then spoke about love to God. Students were requested to act as “mini apostles” and inform the other students of the fact that by the third of April construction of fontal rooms in the cathedral of the Mining University will be concluded. Those who haven’t been Christened yet, can participate in this unique event – Christening in the University Cathedral, with the Rector as their Godfather.   Nothing of the kind has happened in Russia. Before you can participate in the event, you have to attend catechetical talks which take place on Tuesdays from 17.00 to 19.00 in room 4107. Your step towards Faith must be conscientious.
