At the Forum of all-Russia Pedagogical Assembly

    Today, on the fourth of March, a forum of Sverdlovskiy regional subdivision of all-Russia Pedagogical Assembly took place in the Tsar’s Hall of Ural Mining University within the framework of the discussion “Strategy 2020”.

    The Forum “Strategy 2020” – is an open discussion, where intellectuals of Russia determine the ways to the future of the country. The participants of the Forum were members of the Central council and  Sverdlovskiy subdivision of  All-Russia Pedagogical Assembly (ARPA), the pedagogical community, representatives of other non-governmental organizations of the region, representatives of legislative and executive power.

    Mikhail Ivanov, deputy chairman of ARPA declared the Forum opened and congratulated the teachers on the Teacher’s Year on behalf of the chairman Valentina Ivanova.  He also pointed out, that Sverdlovskiy subdivision of ARPA is an initiator of many useful and humanistic acts. One of these was a proposal to establish a state award for teaches which is non-existent at present.

    Sverdlovskiy subdivision of ARPA considers it necessary to familiarize the legislative and executive power with the problems, which could prove to be an obstacle on the way to realization of the national strategy “Our New School”, suggested by the President Dmitriy Medvedev. It is important to combine the efforts of institutions of the civil society and the power in creation of Russian School, which will correspond to the purpose of priority development.   That is why, the topic of the Forum chosen was:  «Development of social projects in education – a realistic method of involvement of the public into national strategy-initiative «Our new school».

    Some social projects were presented at the forum. Realization of these projects contributes to the integration of the society on the school basis. Among other projects there was a project of a local ARPA division - Polevskoy city district - «Healthy city environment». The Rector of Ural State Mining University offered to discuss some issues concerning health , ideological, patriotic, and moral education  of students.  The Chairman of Sverdlovskiy regional subdivision of the Russian Voluntary Society of Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy Gevork Isakhanyan spoke about the introduction of the system «Prepared for Labour and Defense» to the educational establishments: «The new approach to the physical and moral training of young people is to be introduced on the 1st of September 2010».  Our region is in the front of this movement and is determined to be the first in the country where the sport norms “Prepared for Labour and Defense” are an obligatory practice once again, as they used to be in the past. And the first establishment of higher learning in the Urals – the Mining University- became the first to sign an Agreement with the Voluntary Society of Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy concerning the introduction of these sport norms into academic process.
