The 10 000th application for the Ural State Mining University admission committee was submitted by the prize winner of the Russian Mathematical Competition

    On July 21 the admission committee of the Ural State Mining University received the 10000th application for admission from famous Dmitriy Makhnev, who left school # 68 in Yekaterinburg.

    Dima  is not just a school leaver, but a real well of knowledge and a real talent. The young man is a prize winner of the Russian Mathematical Competition, the third degree diploma winner of the regional competition on composition "Archiperspective for schoolchildren in 2009'', a winner of the international gaming competition on the history of the world  artistic culture "Golden Fleece".

    It was a great and pleasant surprise for Dmitriy to become the 10000th  applicant. Answering the question about his choice in favour of  the Mining University, the young man confidently replied that he wanted to study at the first Ural university and continue  the dynasty of miners because  Dmitriy's father graduated from the Ural State Mining University.

    Dima himself chose different specialities: applied mathematics, surveying and technology of artistic processing of materials. He is interested in both exact science and creativity.

    In addition to his achievements in various contests and competitions, this young man  took a computer course at Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics  where he received a certificate of  a PC operator. Now  Dmitriy specialises in creating websites, and  as a student he will be happy to develop the site of the Ural State Mining University.
