Oleg Lvovich Lefton was born on the 18th of December 1955 in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) . In 1977 he graduated from Sverdlovskiy Mining Institute and acquired the speciality of a mining engineer. After graduation he worked in an industrial group “Uralgeology” beginning with the position of a senior technician and ending with the position chief of the industrial engineering team. In 1984 he became a post graduate student of Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute (by correspondence). In 1988 he defended his thesis «Combined application of effective methods and technical means for shallow boreholes drilling in loose rock complex». Since 1989 his position was head of business corporations. On the 1st of September 2004 he was appointed deputy head of Ordzhonikidzevskiy district administration in charge of consumer market issues. Since 9th of April 2007 – he is Head of Ordzhonokodzevskiy district Administration. Lefton O.L. is assistant professor of Ural State Mining University. He has published 52 scientific papers. In 2005 O.L. Lefton was awarded the order of Tatishev V.N.“For being useful to the Motherland’ by Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2006 he became bronze prizewinner at the European basketball championship among veterans of sport.
