Propp Vladimir Davydovich was born on December 14, 1949 in the town of Dzhetygora of Kustanai area.
Specialists in the field of underground mining of mineral deposits. Candidate of Engineering Science (1986), Candidate's thesis: "Development of rational parameters of areal ore drawing by means of ore loading plants installations RPU”.
He graduated with honors from V.V. Vakhrushev Sverdlovsk Mining Institute of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor with a degree in "Technology and large-scale mechanization of underground mining of mineral deposits" (1976), mining engineer.
After graduation from the Institute he stayed there to work at the Department of ore and placer mining as a junior research fellow. In 1977 he was elected a chairman of the student trade union committee of the Institute, and he was employed in this position till 1980. He was elected a member of the Regional committee of the trade union of the members of higher education and academic institutions.
Since 1980 - Senior Researcher, since 1990 - Assistant Professor, and since 2005. - Professor of the Department of ore mining.
In March of 2003 he was appointed to the post of Pro- Rector for Extracurricular and Social Work.
He delivers the courses of lectures on "Mine Design ", "Mining of mineral deposits.
Author and co-author of more than 80 publications, including 9 inventor's certificates, 2 textbooks classified by Education and Methodics Association of higher educational establishments of the Russian Federation on education in the field of mining.
He was awarded the medal "Inventor of the USSR" (1989), silver medal of the All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy of the USSR (1990), Honorary Certificate of the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region (2006). Honorary Certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (2007), the badge "Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation "(2008).
